Lahore’s Ambitious IT Hub Takes Shape as CEO Reviews Progress

Lahore: Imran Amin, Chief Executive Officer of the Punjab Central Business District Development Authority (PCBDDA), conducted an onsite inspection of CBD NSIT City, Pakistan’s pioneering and largest IT hub, to review its ongoing development. The visit underscored the project’s role in positioning Punjab as a global technology leader. Amin chaired a high level progress review meeting at the site, joined by senior PCBDDA officials including Executive Director Technical Riaz Hussain, Director Project Management Asif Iqbal, Director Construction Sameer Aftab Sial, Director Construction Asif Babar, Director Engineering Omar Hayat, and Project Manager Yasir Saifullah. Representatives from Nespak, including Project Director Jamshaid Janjua, along with the project’s contractors, also attended. The meeting focused on critical updates covering road infrastructure, utility systems, the execution of the master plan, and the Celestia IT and Office Tower which is envisioned as a flagship project anchoring the Silicon Block as a hub for technology firms, startups, and corporate offices. Amin emphasized the importance of adhering to international quality standards, stating, “CBD NSIT City is not just a project, it is a vision to elevate Punjab on the global tech stage. We are committed to delivering excellence, innovation, and transparency.” He urged teams and contractors to accelerate progress without compromising quality or sustainability, in line with the futuristic vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz who champions the IT sector as a driver of economic growth. “We aim to build a knowledge based economy by fostering technology driven development and creating a world class environment for innovation,” Amin added, commending the technical and project management teams for their dedication. With its cutting edge infrastructure and eco conscious design, the CBD NSIT City project is set to redefine Lahore’s urban landscape and establish its position as a global business and technology hub.
