Mian Saad Waseem Sheikh, Member of the National Assembly and Federal Parliamentary Secretary for Finance and Revenue, held a public meeting at his dera where residents from various areas of the constituency presented their concerns and suggestions regarding essential civic services and local development matters.
Citizens highlighted issues related to water supply, electricity and gas availability, road conditions, sanitation systems, and other municipal services, which directly impact residential areas, property conditions, and overall urban livability.
Mian Saad Waseem Sheikh attentively listened to the concerns and issued on-the-spot directions to the relevant departments to initiate necessary actions on several matters. He emphasized that improving basic infrastructure, ensuring access to essential services, and enhancing the condition of residential neighborhoods remain key priorities.
He further reiterated his commitment to maintaining continuous engagement with constituents and facilitating coordinated institutional efforts to support sustainable urban development and improved civic amenities across the constituency.

Punjab Minister for Housing and Urban Development Bilal Yasin, visited an under construction disposal station to review progress on the project. He was briefed by the Managing Director of Water and Sanitation Agency Lahore and the Project Director Aziz Bhatti Town regarding key technical and operational aspects.
According to the briefing, the disposal station has a depth of 40 feet and a pumping capacity of 125 cusecs. Officials from National Engineering Services Pakistan (NESPAK), WASA, and other relevant departments were also present during the visit.
Speaking on the occasion, Punjab Minister Bilal Yasin stated that the trunk sewerage system from Harbanspura to Zarar Shaheed Road would help resolve a major drainage issue in the area. He emphasized that no compromise would be made on the quality and pace of development works being carried out under the Lahore Development Plan.
The minister further directed authorities to ensure strict monitoring of safety SOPs at all project sites. He added that he would also undertake visits to other districts to monitor ongoing development projects under the Punjab Development Plan.

Director General of the Lahore Development Authority, Tahir Farooq, visited multiple ongoing development sites including Neela Gumbad, Data Darbar, Bhatti Chowk and the Railway Station to review progress.
During the visit, the DG inspected development works around Data Darbar and Bhatti Chowk. Senior officials from LDA, Traffic Engineering and Planning Agency (TEPA), and National Engineering Services Pakistan (NESPAK) were present. Chief Engineer TEPA Iqrar Hussain and Chief Engineer LDA Israr Ahmed briefed the DG on project updates.
The briefing highlighted that development work is actively underway on all components of Basement-III of the Neela Gumbad project, with slab casting planned soon on 25 percent of the area. Officials further informed that construction of the footpath from the Railway Station towards Haji Camp is in progress, alongside beautification works on the Railway boundary wall and One Moriya Bridge. Facade upgradation of properties along Circular Road is also being carried out.
The DG LDA directed strict adherence to project timelines, emphasizing a zero-tolerance policy toward delays and instructing contractors to ensure timely completion of assigned targets. He ordered that the slab for the pedestrian underpass be cast within the next two to three days and directed accelerated work on the parking area, toilet block construction, and walkways.
He also reviewed development activities around the Railway Station, where officials stated that work on the parking area in front of and surrounding the station is progressing swiftly.
