Under the directives of Deputy Commissioner Kasur, Muhammad Asif Raza, Municipal Corporation (MC) and Suthra Punjab teams have been deployed in Kot Radha Kishan to manage drainage during the ongoing rainfall.
Sources said the teams are actively working across various areas to ensure the timely removal of rainwater, preventing inconvenience to local residents.
The Deputy Commissioner instructed all relevant departments to operate on an emergency basis and prioritize public convenience. Residents appreciated the swift action of the field teams and called for continued efforts to maintain effective drainage management.

Street rehabilitation and reconstruction works were inaugurated in Madina Colony of NA-130 as part of ongoing development initiatives being implemented under the supervision of Lahore Development Authority (LDA) Vice Chairman Mian Marghoob Ahmed.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Mian Marghoob Ahmed and Special Assistant to the Chief Minister of Punjab, Rashid Nasrullah, who formally launched the rehabilitation project aimed at improving local infrastructure and civic facilities in the area.
Speaking on the occasion, the LDA vice chairman said that reconstruction and rehabilitation of six streets in Madina Colony had been completed. The project includes the repair of damaged roads and the improvement of local street infrastructure to facilitate residents and enhance neighborhood accessibility.
He added that development activities in NA-130 are progressing at a fast pace, with several projects underway to address long-standing civic issues and upgrade basic urban facilities.
Residents of the area welcomed the completion of the street rehabilitation works and appreciated the efforts of the authorities to improve local infrastructure and living conditions.

The Punjab government is implementing sewerage development projects worth Rs25.8 billion in Multan to resolve long-standing drainage and sanitation issues in the city. Officials said the initiative is part of a broader plan to upgrade urban infrastructure and improve municipal services for residents.
According to provincial authorities, the projects include the expansion and rehabilitation of the sewerage network, construction of new sewer lines and improvement of stormwater drainage systems. The development work is expected to reduce waterlogging in low-lying areas and enhance the overall efficiency of wastewater disposal.
Officials said the schemes will also involve the installation of modern pumping stations and the rehabilitation of aging sewerage infrastructure, which has been under pressure due to rapid population growth and urban expansion in the city. The provincial government noted that strengthening sewerage infrastructure is essential to prevent urban flooding during the monsoon season and to improve public health conditions. Work on several components of the sewerage development programme has already started, and officials expressed hope that the projects will help address persistent civic complaints related to drainage problems and stagnant water in various parts of Multan.
